We sliced up about a dozen medium to large strawberries and put them in a frying pan on medium high heat.
Sprinkled with a about a Tblsp of sugar (next time would use splenda) and heated them while gently stirring just until they started to fall apart, so about 3 minutes.
Then we poured about 1/3 of a cup of Grand Marnier into the frying pan heated for about another 30 seconds, then with a lit match we just touched the flame and wooooofffff it was on fire – like a clear blue flame! Very pretty! We kept the flame until most of the liquid had burned off.
Then we put the strawberries in cute little glass dessert dishes.
Then we used a small spoon (or I used a pampered chef melon baller) and dipped it in hot water and scoop a round scoopful of sugar free cheesecake on top. Tim took 3 scoops though! LOL But put this on while strawberries are still hot. It kind of softens over the top – not really melts – but softens.
Then eat!
Now I got the cheese cake at publix in Clermont, you have to LOOK for it there. It's in the first refrigerated case on the left there – upper right hand corner by the sliced cheesecakes. Its very small and it costs $7. It's not sweet – but it's good.
Ok – so there you go! Try it – it's impressive!
